Thilawa Management Committee provides students from Project Affected Households and other Project Affected Persons (other family members) with assistance

Thilawa Management Committee helped 52 students from Project Affected Households registered at the school near their new relocation place (which is about 3-5 km away from their old place in the project area) and provided all of them with complimentary school books, stationaries, school bags, school uniforms, etc.

In addition, various trainings ranging from car driving to car repairing, electrical installation, welding, tailoring, food production, computer skill, language skill, furniture production, etc., are being provided to all Project Affected Persons (who are willing to learn) free of charge with a view to prepare them for employment.

Furthermore, employment opportunity is guaranteed for them. The Myanmar-Japan joint venture construction company is hiring Project Affected Persons at the Thilawa construction site. The company pays Kyats 4,000-8,000 per day depending on their skills. The company also provides them with training and safety uniforms.
